You can guess who was amongst them, shouting down anyone expecting us to beat Villa as being 'unrealistic'.

Why should we be beating Villa?

The same Villa with a fully fit squad whilst we had 7 injuries, playing at home under the lights, who spent about £100 million more than us this summer?

1. They finished 1x place below us in the table last season

2. Spent near £100 million this summer whilst we spent £1.5 million

3. Had a full strength side to pick from whereas we had 4 first team players out including our two only real goal threats and best players.

Palace beat Spurs 3-0ast weekend and Man City drew 0-0 with a poor Southampton team.

There are no easy games in the league and we have a poor squad when injuries mount up.

The problem here isn't the manager its the fanbases unrealistic expectations. We lost a game - we'll lose many more just the way it is.
