Cant believe we didnt go for Martinez when we have soft lad in between the sticks
The point is they don't need all that luck to win again.
Liverpool can defend, Pep's City can't and he's no nearer sorting it out - only today one of their main targets Koulibally looks out of reach and favours PSG.
Is Bournemouth's Nathan Aké the answer? He's good going forward but maybe not too good at the job he's paid for, defending - a typical Pep defender (nowhere near John Stones, but his type comes to mind) Fernandinho has been playing at the back in Laporte's absence and they've missed his midfield screening ability
Basically at the back City are a mess, attacking full backs like Mendy have one problem, they can't defend.
City haven't got a defence, Liverpool don't need luck
Good decision in my opinion. Dragging him back all the way and stopped him getting to the ball to have a clear shot against the keeper. Brave decision -- the kind I doubt would ever go against a top 6 team -- but the right one.
Shouldn't have been a red for me.
And we should've bought that keeper
Deffo a red.
Think they were both holding each other. And the initial "pull" started way before it became "last man".
It's a tussle and a foul but never a red for me as I think there's a defender across so he's not the last man...he also makes an attempt to get the ball imo.
Isn't last man just denoted as the last defender? I know there's another defender behind him but still don't know if that's the rule. Just can't do that these days.
The rules say nothing about the last man
Its the denial of a clear scoring opportunity.
Ah, well still a red for me anyway. Keeper might have still beat him there but not sure.
