Time for Moyes to start using his squad?

I know its another thread but just what has Oviedo done to get this status over any of tge other squad players. Hes done nowt!

Not saying he's set the world alight but there's enough there to suggest he'll do well for us. Good technique and ability to run with the ball. There's no glaring deficiencies in his game.

Let's not forget he's only 22 years old as well, the likes of Baines needed time to adapt and I think it will be a similar case with this lad.

*except he has no cutting edge or end product.

Him left with baines, pienaar central and mirallas right with coleman would give us some pace at least and other teams something to think about rather than the same old left hand bainaar crap.

I'd have an opinion on this, but because I've never played professional football or played for Everton, I don't have the authority or expertise to do so.

I agree. Our problem is that we have a good first 11 but a poor 2nd 11 so we can't change things too much. If we were in Europe as well we'd be screwed.

I'm sorry there are a lot worse 2nd XI's than that in the prem. We also have a lot of versatile players in our squad who can play a number of positions. My main problem is that we don't really change it enough when things aren't working. It will either be, push felli back or push felli forward - that's our only real change that we do

That second 11 would possibly stay up with the option of the severly blind as backup.

Not overly sure about that. We're trying to compete with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs, those back up players simply aren't good enough.

yeah but we're not playing all XI at once are we. There's plenty of talent there to change a game if we need a change of strategy or make 2 or 3 changes - which is what "using a squad" means. It doesn't mean playing a totally different XI

Ooh, hello.

That's my stock response for anything in the Everton forum from now on.

To stay on topic, I think David Moyes is Scottish and the manager of Everton Football Club as of February 2013. A squad is the term given to a group of professional footballers employed by any one football club.

I think David Moyes should use his squad because he's the manager of Everton Football Club and is therefore employed to use whatever means at his disposal to produce effective results during his employment, which involves the use of playing staff during official Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup football matches for the 2012/13 season.

Probably should close the forum then.

Well, my thoughts exactly mate  Except don't close the forum!
