No chance, sorry he’s has improved a bit this year, but I’m very confident he will never be winning caps and in around the England squad

He might well end up having a solid career in the PL, there are some attributes to his game, but he wouldn't get near the Scotland set up never mind England. Steady on now.

I agree that Harrison is much more gifted and has a higher ceiling.

But… and hear me out on this.

What if we keep 2 really good players.

Instead of having one player and then play someone out of position à la right back/ left back

Can be very good but lacks consistency.

However has definite potential, good attitude, still young and has steadily improved during his time here.

I'd like him to stay and to see how good he can be. If he tapers off in development he's not a player we'd struggle to sell in my opinion.

He has, but he's also inconsistent and has shown his signs of improvement when subbed on for the last 20 or against utter turd opposition.

Yeah, "there's a player there", but that player is the most average of average for the PL. Right now we need that, but if he doesn't progress towards being better very fast, he's just not gonna be anything more than squad filler.

Feels a lot like people are looking at the 2 games where he did okay/very well and just ignore the previous 10 or so when he was abysmal.
