Tim Howard

Sad seeing Spurs and Arsenal play with 2 top class goalkeepers. Howard is nowhere near the same level as Lloris and Cech. He's miles behind Butland, Forster (when fit) and Adrian for me aswell. Needs to be a massive priority next season. Let's hope Kenwright gives Martinez every penny of that new £50 million tv deal as we have a few positions that need strengthening if we are to get back up there.
Adrian? Why him? He certainly didn't look better than Howard yesterday -- can you imagine what the anyone-but-Howard crew would say if someone rounded Howard as easily as Lukaku rounded Adrian?

Lads, it was a great finish right into the postage stamp. We can't blame him for that goal, we should focus our efforts on slaughtering him for his recent comments, and just generally being an absolute arrogant plane crash of a human being

wow. i like arrogance in sport, you have to have it to be a success ... but not when it has no substance. it's why people laugh at lord bendtner so much. i can't believe he said he's been criticised every week for 13 years yet still believes he's great.

also criticism doesn't mean anything if the manager doesn't agree with it. what? so if we played shockingly and lost, but the manager said great performance, then the loss doesn't really matter?

Agreed. It goes beyond what Martinez calls "good arrogance", this is just one man's ego inflated beyond proportions. He's not living in the real world, he's had so much smoke blown up his arse from the American media after the last World Cup (as well as Martinez at times, let's not forget) that he genuinely believes he's untouchable. I personally can't wait for us to chuck him and get a proper keeper in who can do the basics and cares more about the team than he does feeding his own overinflated bonce

i started appluading him yesterday when he made a save aand then did well to prevent a corner from the rebound, the camera, panned on him then shows him sprinting back to his own goal because he'd thrown the ball straight to a west ham player outside the box. bloody clown.

Howard would have pulled Lukaku down resulting in a red card in my own non biased opinion.

Yes My son shouted well done TH , and then fits of laughter in grief when he did what you stated above!

That man is an arrogant piece of something. All sports people need to have that drive and confidence but this fella is full of it.If Tim Howards head get's any bigger it will explode. The man is in my opinion a very arrogant and self important individual who can't accept any criticism.Well Tim that works both ways.If you can't accept criticism when it's merited then the praise when you do play well is rendered meaningless.

Why so much anger? He's played well in the last few games. He's certainly not made and errors that have caused us to conceded.

So what's the point of this?

You kind of reinforced my point. He has played well in the last couple of games but on a whole since last season his form has been very poor and he has lost us a lot more points than he has earned.Instead of acknowledging justified criticism for what it is and holding his hands up he just throw's hissy fit's to the media.
