Tim Howard

Forget Howard himself, Martinez needs slaughtering for sticking with him for so long.

He picks the team, he signs the players. He's chosen to not sign another keeper and not to put Robles in.

It seems he only shows strong management with players who we need out on the pitch (Mirallas).

But he's 2 years past his best, that World Cup saves thing was a one-off which I think has gone to his head.
He reminds me of the worst of American (un)sportsmanship, where it is all about the individual and not about your fellow teammates. A bit like some of the prima donna American football wide receivers or cornerbacks...

Give him a "Hollywood" save on the line and he's right there. Ask him to do the dirty technical work like kicking a clearance or coming for a cross or corner and he's not interested.

Lukaku cost us a point as much as Howard today, that header onto the bar was point blank range and should be easy for a player with his price tag.

Didn't come for the first one when he should have.

Came for the second when he shouldn't and got nowhere near.

But that wasn't the end of the clown show.

Late in the second half when the ball is in the air for about 5 mins he comes for it and gets nowhere near, luckily their guy didn't get it on target.

Then when we get a goal kick in injury time and he kicks it out for a throw in.

He's totally lost it now.

Still makes good saves during the course of the game but is failing in the basics almost every game now which costs us.
