Tim Howard

He made a few decent stops, but there's no two ways about it: he lost us that game. First goal especially was terrible decision making. Second one he fails to get out to the danger and then just stands waiting for it to sail over his head.

People saying he can't be criticised because he made some saves..... it's his job!!!! It's what he should be doing all the time, it's a sad indictment that we're actually shocked that he occasionally gets in the way of a goal bound effort.

Had enough, have a good evening.

Thank god Howard is likely going to retire in a season or two... He can be only so bad, but Martinez is likely never going to drop him...

Every match should be ending 0-0 by your logic. Every keeper makes mistakes and gets punished for it. Every keeper makes great saves to keep out what should really have been goals. Bad keepers do more of the former; great keepers do more of the latter. Howard does more of both than most keepers, I think, which unfortunately makes him a lot easier to criticize than someone like Tim Krul, even though Krul picks the ball out of the back of his net far more often than Howard does.
