As said you love a contradiction. 5 minutes ago you said the defence should deal with it (Barkley), now you're back saying Howard is more at fault. If you feel like its talking to a brick wall with me, imagine how im feeling when you're back and forth like a fiddlers elbow on who is to blame. Every post you're changing your mind.

Seriously mate can you not understand what I am simply saying! It really isn't hard at all! They are both at fault! I have said this from the start so I haven't contradicted myself once. Go and check mate! I feel Howard takes more blame as he should deal with it easily first. Barkley takes some blame as well as he should clear it when Howard doesn't bother to do his job.

On average he keeps a clean sheet every 3 games for Everton.

Southall who is far and away one of the greatest goalkeepers in football and the greatest ever goalkeeper for Everton kept a clean sheet every 2.7 games.

There's so many mitigating factors, such as quality of opposition, style of football etc etc that it's impossible to compare keepers (and players) of different generations imo.

The main thing weakening our "Howard is crap" argument is some of the newcomers to that side of the table, they've got poor game and Dougie @ co are taking them down with ease. It's distracting from the fact that he is gash.

The point is which you can't seem to grasp at all is that Howard should just come and collect it and take everything in front of him. Any average keeper would be doing it. Yet he stood on his line when the ball was in his 6 yard box. You seem to think Howard did nothing wrong at all. I am saying Howard takes blame just as much as Barkley does.
