Shame he'll just miss out on a testimonial but I think he'll be fairly happy with the reception he got today.

Putting aside the bizarre hyper-wages footballers are on just for a minute, I think it's clear he loves the club which goes a long way for me.

To be fair to Howard, it's never easy to escape the barrage of shots he had to face playing under fraud tactics. It's no brainer that the more shots he face, the higher the chance of a mistake or a goal.

He was well protected today from 10 players in front of him and it made a difference.

For months I'd been saying I wouldn't clap him but I ended up twisting and giving him a heartfelt send off as thanks for his service, he did deserve that. Slightly spoiled it for me though when he pretty much asked the fans to clap Kenwright FFS. Ferguson did the same at his testimonial. I don't care what occasion it is, I will not clap or thank that man.
