His attitude really hasn't helped the situation tbf - felt like giving him a clip round the ear myself after his post City match interview.

But going old gracefully is a difficult thing to do - struggle with it myself ;)

hahahaha - yeah am not handling the growing old gracefully thing well either.

Its a shame, but thanks for the memories Tim - you where great but should have left 2 years earlier.

Moan, moan, moan..

Yes we all know he should have been moved on 18 months ago, but fans really do have short memories. He's been a great keeper for us, and I think it's harsh to call him "average" when we've had to put up with the likes of Gerrard, Simonsen, Wright, Wessels etc. down the years.

Why compare to our other keepers, talk about setting the bar low. He's been an average Premier League keeper, prone to making some absolute howlers over a prolonged period of time.

Even if you take into account your opinion of him being a good keeper, he's still been no servant. He earns more in a week than most earn in a year, it was privilege for HIM to play in Blue (or Green), not the other way around.

So farewell then Tim Howard
most Everton
of stoppers

One week a starjump
loses 3 points,

The next, 2 amazing saves
retain them

Kieth's mum liked your beard
I did not

Did you
have turrets?
I don't [Poor language removed] think so!

Was always crap, those who want to applaud him watch every game from a computer screen, hopefully he gets booed off as a reminder of the contempt he has shown to fans
I do not watch every game from a computer screen. He was good for a while. He isn't good any more.

But why have a go at those who can't make the game? No need. I agree there's no need to defend Tim Howard's poor form and be blind to it, but there's also no need to belittle fans who live away and can't get to Goodison a lot.

Everyone's opinion counts - yours, mine, theirs. To comment 'those who applaud him do so from a screen' is a bit off.

Every keeper has a bit of attitude and front. It is the nature of a mad profession.

Aye, madness is a positive advantage in the role!

Just think that a player such as himself that is older and has done a lot of media work should realise that public perception is an important factor and that being internally self confident can come across as being an arrogant tit if handled incorrectly. Also repeatedly stating how you don't care what other people think can actually end up conveying quite the reverse!

I do take your point and he has overplayed his hand but it never easy to see yourself fade. Different people handle it differently.

It's because some fans like to think because they go to the game it makes their opinions more valid than others.

It doesn't of course but that doesn't stop some people feeling the need to claim superiority.

Sometimes I go, sometimes I can't make it due to work so listen on radio.

Don't worry about those who think they need to approve others' opinion.

Let's leave it there then.
