Bloody hell, everyone knows I'm no fan of the bearded weapon, but how are people actually trying to blame him for that Matic goal? Is this real life? Is it just fantasy?

Sometimes mate theirs just no escape from reality for some people, then again sometimes Howard does dive a little high or a little low, and he should take account of the way the wind blows as it buggers him up on crosses, instead he just think's it doesn't matter to him.

Sometimes he dives completely out of the way of shots from a 3 degree angle like he did against City this season, but any keeper would be beaten by a shot like that from Matic. I'll be easing off him until his next howler. Plus he was good at Spurs

Wins player of the month for August, has been solid and plays a blinder at Spurs. Its out of desperation that the Matic belter is being pinned on him. Sheer desperation because he is proving his doubters wrong.

He was a long way off his line, with poor line of sight to the kicking player and didn't adjust his feet quickly enough to move sideways and get off the ground to get near the ball

the goalie relies on the defenders and midfielders to close down options for shooters
the defenders rely on the goalie being positioned correctly based on the threat of a shot

but sure, what do I know?
