USA AYE AYE AYE......

Funnily enough, I was about to say to those that think Howard is being victimised because he's American need to think back to when he was playing well and regularly got lauded with chants of "USA, USA, USA". Something we've not heard much recently.

The reason he's getting stick is not because he's American, but because he's not playing well, hasn't been playing well regularly for a while and, if you're a keeper, poor form sticks out like an erection on a nudist beach.

Personally think hes benefitted from being american and not despite it.

Please explain. Mind that I've stated Robles should start at the weekend and Howard has been playing crap. I'm genuinely curious about that statement.
his general profile has benefited, and his potential earnings when he retires (please dear god!!!), if he had played for a more prominent traditional footballing nation he would not have the profile he does as he is one of the few of his countrymen plying his trade in a proper league. Everton wise I don't think his nationality is either here nor there as he is just plain tosh no matter where he hails from

Pretty much this + i think he has got a novelty factor as well which he plays upon.

If he had come from the lower leagues i think he would have not been as successful.

Hahahahaha.

Oh, I almost forgot to say, behave everyone. It's possible to disagree with each other wihout behaving like spoilt brats.

But not nearly as funny

And come on, even in Mod Towers there would have to be an agreement that the forum has been hilarious recently

@TonyBarretTimes: Martinez on criticism of Tim Howard's form: "His role on the pitch is much more important than his individual performance."

During press conference Martinez said you need experienced players in with the youth.

With Jagielka, Baines & Coleman out I can at least understand the reasoning behind sticking with Howard for now. Not sure I agree with it mind.
