And ahead of today’s clash at Southampton, the shot-stopper reiterated the importance of unity between fans and players, regardless of the frustrations which can mount during some games.

“I think it’s rubbish,” he said.

““I think we all have an obligation to pull in the right direction; players and fans alike.

“I think at the end of the 90 minutes we can all scream and shout; pat eachother on the back or kick eachother all we want.

“But through the course of the 90 minutes we need to stick together and that’s always been the case.

“We go out there with every intent to play the manager’s style and win games and when you’re doing that it’s not right to be booed.”

well yourr blatanly not doin the winning part are you CLOWN

Genuinely starting to hate him which is sad because ive always liked him as an individual, hes took us and the club to heart and hes given us many seasons of acceptable goalkeeping but this year hes been appalling.

He looks scare of getting hurt, doesnt come for crossing, palms everything, takes hours to distribute.

Needs replacing the bearded clown

The fume towards certain players is laughable. They were collectively rubbish today.

Sorry mate but in every team there's players weaker than others, some of whom have proven that over five years or more. That's why the likes of Howard and Osman attract criticism, it's not personal, it's necessary that the team improves.

While we continuing playing them, the likes of Mourinho doesn't hesitate to ship out "legends" like Lampard and Cole. We're either here to see the club win things, or using it as a comfort blanket with the same under-performing players year after year during which time the better players leave to play with other better players.
