Tim Howard

Did Howard approach a journalist and say, "you know what, the fans were wrong to boo David Moyes today."

OR

Did a journalist carefully select Tim and ask for his thoughts on the reception Moyes received?

Is there a more suitable player than Tim Howard in our squad to give them the answer they wanted? Out of our current squad, I would argue he will have the most attachment to Moyes.

Food for thought.

For some reason people don't seem to understand why Everton fans would be upset with Moyes' conduct since he left so in way I'm not really surprised that someone like Howard doesn't get it either. Moyes turned him into a number 1 goal keeper. As Howard says everyone only sees 'Moyes the Messiah' and only toffees seem to see Moyes the lowballing disrespectful Fergie puppet. Although I sincerely hope the players would have much different opinions about Phil Neville and his comments....

I would have thought the majority of Toffees' fans would be grateful to Moyesie for taking Fellaini off our hands for so much money. Never mind his "behaviour". What do you expect him to do? Not buy Everton players?

We should be cheering him!

who knows the exact wording in the question to Howard..... and of course the fans have paid much more attention to everything Moyes has done since he left.... most likely the players... don't pay much attention at all when they go home... they LIVE football.... often times they don't want to take it home with them...for us the fans.... talking and breathing football is our passion when we aren't doing boring things... like working.

I do what ever is physically possible, as a paying spectator to help my side win, and if booing Moyes, means a atmosphere good enough to lift the players, then heckle and boo, is what i'll do exactly.

I can't believe this debate is still going on. Moyes was clapped out of Goodison by the majority when he left. He then proceeded to act like a bellend in the summer towards Everton, turning Evertonians against him and spoiling his relationship with the supporters. That was his choice to do what he did and now he has received the backlash. If manc supporters / the media / present players do not get this then that is their problem. They obviously feel that it is acceptable for an ex-manager to disrespect and demean his former club

Spot on mate.

Tim Howard though. Improved this season, and I was there when he scored.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here, he's probably just trying to deflect attention from his mate, rightly or wrongly.

Never says we were wrong, just says it was unfair which the paper changes to a more controversial headline. Creative editing perhaps?

Ill advised comments maybe, but nowt to get in a fizz over.
