Won a few cups in a Mickey Mouse league. He won’t make Christmas. Hopefully the reds are blinded by their loyalty towards him and he takes over after Klopp.
Someone might be able to clarify, but I think he may have only won the league in Scotland.

So yeah, one trophy in three years, in a two team league with the highest wage bill (and spending a fortune again by their standards).

Top manager.

They've bought poorly, and when you do that it's only a matter of time until it unravels. It's doing so quite quickly here.

Purslow let his heart rule his head and Gerrard his ego run wild. Really poor appointment, a few years in a pub league like SPL don't prepare you for the HUGE step up.

When he's inevitably sacked he'll be young enough to rebuild his image, just has to be very careful with next move. A move out to Germany or to somwhere like Ajax or PSV, they would be ideal. A step up from Scotland but still far less spotlight. If he ever has two sackings on his CV then he can totally forget about ever landing the dream job.

I can see the owners pulling the plug on Gerrard early enough in the season to give an incoming manager the time to steady the ship before irreparable damage is done and they sink in to the Championship. It would make sense to pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

This 100%.

He will take them down. They will act to prevent that. Its question of how much damage he does before that moment comes.

I don't think they go down this season. The problem Gerrard has created is that he has set them up to go down two seasons from now. Those older players he bought are going to start to drop off, and they won't be able to get anything of consequence for them.

The good news there is that at least they should be out from under the legacy of the aggressive purchasing windows a few seasons ago by then. Their problems are fixable, but if Gerrard stays in charge they probably won't get fixed. He'll keep paying over the odds bringing in players to save his job, and that will eventually be that.

Under Gerrard they could well go down, but he is likely to be sacked.

On the latter point, absolutely, he has taken a huge gamble, that will require European football to pay for, which he will not achieve.

Three wins in thier last 15

Two of those against us
We can't laugh when you mention that. Are we that terrified of Liverpool we can't even stomach a terrible side led by Gerrard. I say yes. Too coincidental.

That and the fact Gerrard does be oozing with confidence against us and it rubs off on the players.
