As soon as fast eddie starts throwing 10's of millions at the likes of minamino at origi I'm sure their social conscious and other clubs will be quickly binned off.

….great move for Gerrard. This will be the true test for him. Interesting to see who he takes with him from the backroom staff.

Also interesting if he wants the likes of Patterson from the playing staff. Villa have recently won an FA Youth Cup so must have some talent coming through.

I know this will be an unpopular view on this site but I think as a young player coming through, Gerrard is exactly who I'd want as my manager.

Totally agree. I expect every Villa win to be hailed as a tactical masterclass and every setback as evidence of players not being good enough or a board that doesn't back him.

Sterling won't go to Newcastle. He's running his contract down and will go to Real Madrid on a free. I think one of the reasons for Sterling's poor club form and lets be honest, it has been awful, is that he has mentally checked out already. It could also explain the difference in his club form in comparison to his continued good form for England.
