Threat of villa

Rumours are that other Premier League clubs are unwilling to enter into transfers with Newcastle as they are unhappy about the ownership
Yeah they should but i can see Liverpool still doing it, but no chance City for example should let them have Sterling, Newcastle could try and build a team with top 4 fringe players, i hope they dont get away with it

Howe has already made a rod for his own back by repeatedly refusing to answer questions yesterday on the Saudis. First sign of trouble and the journos are going to rip him a new one. It's easy to see why so many others did'nt want the job.

Howe was perfect. I think I said it in this thread.

Newcastle and Gerrard would have been a disaster. The pressure of hiring a big name like Gerrard added to the relegation mire, and the billions of pounds would have been a disaster move for all concerned.

Howe is the low key, under the radar, and will do enough to keep them up, and alleviate any pressure. Gerrard would have brought a circus, whether we chose to or not.
Newcastle is the worst job in football, and they've done the right thing by bringing in Howe.

Unpopular opinion here and il probably get pelted but i think he will do well at Villa.
I think he will too, its about expectation levels and were do they expect to be, 11th 10th, sure he can do that and it will be seen as acceptable

I dont want him too obviously but i think he will.
Huge step from Rangers to Villa as he will be playing teams week in week out who are well capable of beating them.

Hes a stop gap at Aston Villa, until he moves over there. I’m still certain of it.

As long as he doesn’t completely blow up, and takes Villa up the table, he’ll be at Liverpool when Klopp decides to leave, I reckon 1.5-2.5 years from now.

Handle the pressure, show good football and he’ll be there. Managing the cult.
And for this very reason I can't understand Villa's logic in this appointment, they must know as soon as Klippety bails out, they lose their new manager!
