Yes but ok, I can see why he's always injured, fair play Thomas lad.

He's appalling these days unfortunately. Roma fans genuinely have inside jokes about it to the extent that he's their Alcaraz...

?

Why's that an issue? A view to buy is standard for a loan now - Roma had the same thing. If he's crap/constantly injured, we just pass up the option.

Have a look at our defense and tell me with a straight face that we should be offering a contract to an, at the time the contract will be offered, a 32-years-and-11-months notoriously injury prone centre back. I just tried it in the mirror and couldn't finish the sentence without either breaking into laughter or tears.

I guess it depends on if he's absolutely amazing in the year before that happens and is completely injury free. In that case, a one or two year deal, sure, why not?

But right now, it'll be a basically risk free loan for a year for buttons, and if he's crap we'll say thanks but no thanks and be done with it. I have no clue why the option to buy is something to be aggrieved about.

I don't think we'll play 5 at the back (and it is 5 not 3) all that often tbh. Ok, away at the likes of City and Chelsea yes, but RK admitted it was a mistake against Stoke. Think we'll play a 4 most weeks.
