Well for a 6'5 centre forward wouldnt you say that there should be crosses going into him?
Its not often we see this.
Dont laugh everyone … what about trying both up front ?![]()
yes , would be a fascinating watch ! although I remember when we tried Beto and Dcl together last season and it didnt work. we don’t really play with out and out wingers so would still br 3-5-2 … and its not really a 3 at the back in reality but 5 just fullbacks up a bit higherTwo up front is so rare that defences struggle to work it out.
No co-incidence that Leeds have improved massively since switching to 2 up top.
Might be worth a try tbh.
Not really any evidence for it mate, even if you look at his stuff in Spain and elsewhere, he looks sharp but its by and large tap ins and nothing spectacular.
He gets bullied so easily, don’t think any cross in the world would make a difference. For a big lad he’s so weak against defendersWell for a 6'5 centre forward wouldnt you say that there should be crosses going into him?

Im not saying hes the solution but....at this point Id put Beto in for the next few matches. We gave him his run of matches, thats great, and he really hasnt shown up. If the effort was there Id feel different, but I dont feel hes even up for it half the time. At least Beto will batter the defenders and open up some space for other players. At least Beto creates some chaos, right now with Barry I feel like hes the easiest thing for CBs to defend, and they enjoy it.
I think he needs significantly more time to work on his craft.
