2025/26 Thierno Barry

….reasonable to assess he’s looking like a poor signing. Lightweight, uncompetitive, easy to play against and offering little or no threat. Beto is different but sadly just as ineffective.

It’s possible Barry might improve with time and it looks likely he’ll have plenty of that because it’s difficult to see anybody wanting him at this point in time.

We’ll surely have to bring in better, almost certainly for cheaper. Maybe the sale of Beto can fund a replacement, ironically many would point to the bloke Leeds got for free if they hadn’t got him from us.

Yesterday was the most disappointed ive been with him. In games when you are under the kosh you have to put in a performance for the team, hold up, challenge the center half, press, be physical and make your presence known - did none of that and the Arsenal defense lorded it fist half and were allowed to be the outball for their team. Sure they couldn't believe their luck.

Currently costing the club around £180k per week in wages (£51k) and contract depreciation (£130k)

Sad state of affairs if this is the best our team of ‘world class experts in their field’ could do for that sort of outlay.

….as with Dibling, they have to be held responsible for spanking huge amounts of money on players who don’t look like they’re worth the investment. Moyes has to be included in that accountability.

Our first X1 looks decent but the transfer signs aren’t good if last summer is anything to go by. Wasted money, wasted opportunity.

We’ve just got to ‘give them time’ as ‘these are the sort of signings we should be making’ or so I was corrected with in the summer.

They absolutely aren't the signings we should have been making. We've been flirting with relegation for the last few years, what we needed was 3 or 4 established first team players to improve the squad before we start thinking about buying £30 million prospects. Strategically wrong, as we have been for the last 35 years.

Honestly I think it's absolute nonsense about the service being poor. Just a bad excuse for a player that is nowhere near the level we need. The service looks poor because he can't do anything well. Best case scenario is he controls a simple pass and lays it back into midfield.

Well for a 6'5 centre forward wouldnt you say that there should be crosses going into him?

Its not often we see this.

Spot on, especially given the failure to sign a RB when we had needed one for at least a full season if not more.

As DCL is proving at the moment at Leeds. We gave him 8 years and got injury after injury followed by 20 game run without scoring, then a couple of goals followed by next injury, injury setback, and on and on. Within a few months of getting in the Leeds team turns into a goal machine.

Actually feel sorry for the kid, runs around a lot with a decent engine but no were near the standard of what we've been crying out for. Wouldn't be too bad if he was only given cameo performances so far but he's now had multiple games under his belt and unfortunately he just hasn't got what it takes !! I think that's why he's had the backing of the fans as we're desperate for him to suddenly come good but the stats and performances don't lie.
