Could've signed gyokeres for 20m when he was banging em in for Coventry yet we then outlay for Beto and then for this guy.

Tbh I don't mind Beto. I love the passion he's 100% Everton personality wise. I think he's more of a impact player and needs to come on when there's tired legs for him to exploit. The header was strong and powerful straight to the ground and 9/10 that goes in bar a terrific save.

Nonsense, get all the body language experts in to tell us he's not running enough and that's what makes him non-PL levels.

I'm not sure it's helpful to say people are expecting him to be prime R9 when really they're just asking for him to be an effective member of the team who contributes in a positive way to our performances. I don't really see the point in pretending it's totally fine and normal for our new striker not to have scored (or even registered a shot possibly) 9 games into the season, and for the manager to have felt it necessary to drag him off at half time in his last 2 appearances.

Definitely wasn't a sitter. How quick Beto moved to attack that ball was class.
A sitter is Fernando Torres rounding the keeper and missing an open net.

Brilliant work by palace keeper to get across and fortunately for him his leg was in the right spot. Unfortunately for him Grealish's left peg was too.

I think looking at it the ball just hit the keepers leg he did not see that header - luckily for us it went in via a clearance onto Grealish ... Beto did everything correct 3-4 defenders on the line in front of him so he could not place it headed it hard downwards if it had bounced it was his goal .....

Just put him in the under 21s & train him there - he needs confidence & to learn how to score goals ....

I think he'll really need to work very hard in practice to earn the trust back and get another opportunity.

Or wait for Beto to have another bad half.

I think he needs demoting to a level to build his confidence up ....

I'll judge Barry and Beto when 2 things happen:

They get a run of games, not chopped and changed weekly.
They look poor in a team playing well.

I can't keep judging them when the entire team was awful first half. It's unfair to expect Barry to stand out, when no player did their job.

I said that at the time.. They were looking for Simms there was a part exchange to be done there. Sims and 12 million may have gotten it done.
