2025/26 Thierno Barry

Saw the podcast Michael Keane did the other day. He said you can tell players who don't have the mentality for Everton and they leave the club quickly. I immediately thought of Barry.
You were calling for him to continue in the side ahead of Beto the other week 😂

Bloke is garbage.
Yeah I can't even disagree with either of you anymore. I just can't wrap my head around not just supporting a player coming on in the biggest game the club have had in years.

Valid to say it shouldn't affect him, but if there's a chance that it does then what's the point. Is it really worth it just because people can't stand him?

He was really poor but why are we booing a player coming on up front for the last stretch of a crucial game. That's just so stupid.

There was a Liverpool substitution announced immediately after his, which was booed. Just so happened he was running onto the pitch at the time

This. I thought the booing was for him but heard the Liverpool sub. There is no way of knowing who the boos were for but if he thought it was him then can see why he was deflated.

He was still shocking but this seems to be a siuation that wont improve. Fans boo, his confidence drops and he cant be bothered, which in turn causes the fans to understandably get more frustrated and hence more groans and boos.

Either something needs to give or he needs to go.

Feels like there is no way back for him now.

If he’d done well today, both in effort and skill, things could have been smoothed over.

But he’s never going to get fan support so better for both of us if he is moved on elsewhere in the summer.
He'll play in every game still this season. The manager had half a season to realise that Beto and Barry were not enough options, yet decided not to add to it in January, so he's obviously more than happy with the pair.

I was watching in the pub so genuinely can't say who the boo's were directed at. Had just gone on twitter after the game and read he had been booed coming on.

Thing is, even if we do move him on in summer we still have to rest of the season to play. And there's a real possibility that Beto could be out a couple of weeks now if that was a break to his cheekbone or anything like that.

People need to just let it go for the good of the team imo, at least till the end of the season. People right to be annoyed but the whole extended drama hasn't been good for his game, which in turn hasn't been good for us.
