Rinse and repeat my earlier comment. Again Barry would have been nowhere near that. The darting run across the defender was excellent. Great assist from Gueye.

Neither Beto nor Barry are the answer, both seem pretty similar players or have similar strengths, but today’s performance and Beto’s general demeanour and profile make him look far more suited than Barry.

He frequently has the ball bounce off of him as much as Beto.

He wins the ball in the air and the headers go nowhere near one of our players.

He's not much better with the ball than Beto at all for me and he's less of a threat than Beto with it.

It wouldn't matter if Barry was our top scorer on 2 goals. If it's more than Beto has managed (and everyone else in the squad bar KDH), then what you are saying is obviously objectively incorrect.

Certain people would rather give Beto a 3 week run in the team, try Ndiaye up front, try George up front, try Michael fkn Keane up front before playing playing our TOP SCORER up front at the end of the season where every match is crucial for us to get Europe.

I think it's mad, but each to their own.

Oh I don't disagree the bar is low but until it's raised it's the truth.

I think we're a better outfit when Barry plays. He's a better footballer than Beto IMO. Better first touch, better link up play and touches around the half way line, is better in the air, he brings others into play and generally allows us to progress up the pitch on the ball. Beto isn't a footballer, but definitely has better goalscoring instincts, better movement in behind and in the box.

Overall I'd rather have Barry and I think he's by far the better football player, but you could argue a bit of a horses for courses situation depending on the oppo and how he want to play.

He's literally our joint top scorer? Not long ago he was on 4 goals in 5, including some very good finishes.

Just be honest and say that you absolutely dread Barry doing anything good for us because you can't stand him as a personality.

I'm not saying he's an unstoppable world class striker, but to say that playing him is a waste as he will never score when he's literally our top scorer this season is a bit daft no?

Even when he came on today you just see the difference in effort and intensity between him and Beto, it sets the whole mood and tempo with the team and fans

The booing was out of order. Yes he did something daft and annoying but it's hardly worth taking personally. Get a grip and urge him on.
