2025/26 Thierno Barry

DCL is a far better player than Barry if you can't see that then football is not for you, his hold up play is a different level to Barry.

Leeds fans are already saying its refreshing to have a striker that can get us up the pitch.

Barry the ball just bounces off him or he doesn't win anything in the air.

If a ball gets crossed into the box I would sooner have DCL on the end of it than Barry
You can say that Barry technically wins a lot of balls, but they tend to just bounce off in random directions. He's a raw talent, but he's someone who should be an understudy at this stage.

One thing is for certain, he'll need a shoulder op because he cant be getting nudged off the ball and falling down in complete agony the amount of times he does. Yesterday was probably the 5th or 6th time he's gone down as if his shoulder popped. That's not sustainable, it limits the physicality he is capable of.
Aye I thought that. Will affect his all round play as well.

Difficult to go to war with a centre half when your shoulder pops coa someone farted near you. Its not even like hes been snapped and fell on it. He tripped ocer his own dribbling by the South West Corner (was it against Fulham?) And his shoulder popped.

I'm not sure if that's a long term thing or happened whilst just with us. He certainly didn't have his fitness test on with 6 tonnes of strapping on that's for sure.

I have done nothing but support him when others have had a go at him, I know he is feeding off scraps and we don't create much i have been saying it for ages now.
No wonder Dom could not wait to get away. In addition I don't know why Dunc was so loyal. He spent years dealing with the same crap hoofs when he was decent to feet.
Think of our corners last night. A scrum in the six yard box with so many players, the only space left to score is above head height. Any deflection out for a shot has virtually zero chance.
Moyes is a better version of Dyche and the Stoke we remember but that is what he is. Rohl, Alcaraz, Patterson, Dibling, Branthwaite and possibly Garner if this crap continues will want away. I would not blame them and in fact totally agree.

I just can’t fathom the suggestion he ‘wasn’t meant to be first choice’. Moyes has never liked Beto. I think absolutely everyone expected Barry to start loads of games.
Because i think that's what we said when we signed him. Though admittedly my memory is patchy at best. Pretty sure we made it clear we'd bring him in slowly

Pretty sure he was intended to be first choice, or certainly share equal billing. He's another one where I can't quite work out why people want to make out like he's still taking his first steps in the game or we picked him up from Colchester United for £300k. There was a bloke by me in the ground last night saying 'what do you expect him to do, he's a kid playing against 2 international centre halves'. He's three years older than Yoro, who isn't an international centre half at all, and the other one is Harry Maguire, who's 33, hasn't been an international for 2 years, and has been a laughing stock for half his career, it's just bizarre to make out like there's no way we can expect him to cause them a few problems.
Totally different game from the Spanish league. Literally every manager on earth says it takes time to adapt. So it probably does. He's got something about him but is not currently a player we can pin all our hopes on now. He needs bringing in slowly but he's been thrown in at the deep end. Was never getting anything from their defence last night.

The corner thing is an example of why most teams have a dedicated set piece coach now, we still don't, even the majority of Championship clubs have them. I genuinely think Sgt Maj Moyes just doesn't like the idea that someone might know a bit more than him about something hence we don't have one.
In regards to Dom, I'm not a massive fan but we couldn't keep him fit and that was proven over time. Leeds seem to have isolated his issues and customised his training in a way that's giving him minutes and he is bagging a few goals in return. Our fitness/medical setup leaves a lot to be desired imo.

Like Dunc's injuries. If you spend your career leaping as high as you can and chasing punts it will take a toll. Moyes is neanderthal.

I want Patterson away as well. What a curious glossing over of his abilities there's been.
