2025/26 Thierno Barry

Should have had assist for KDH - He actually surprised me as i was half expecting him to shoot instead of pass. I will keep sticking to what i say - his goals mask his performances so,so much for me. Goals are off course what we want, but it's like he does not exist nearly before or after he scores. He needs to get involved a lot more.

I don’t really know my thoughts on the lad other than he’s young and dealing with a huge learning curve trying to play in the premier league

He does very little in the way of holding the ball up or making intelligent runs but he’s shown he can finish when the chances come and that layoff to KDH was perfect today and should’ve made it 1-0

What I do know, is I’d rather have him than Calvert-Lewin who has already peaked and has all the hold up play Barry doesn’t but can’t hit a barn door from more than six yards out

In simple terms, when you haven't got limitless funds, if you have a striker that one has one single strength, it simply has to be finishing. So I don’t mind if he looks like he’s going to fall over when dribbling at a defender. Up to the manager and the squad to firstly tell him where he should be in the box, then to put the ball in there.

Nothing wrong with a striker slogging away (relatively) for 90 mins then the other striker coming on and scoring. A tale as old as time.
