Just not good enough. I've seen some honking strikers play for us, and he isn't quite Rondon bad but not a million miles away.

TBF Rondon was in his mid-30s (age and stone) and came in from a retirement league. Barry is a decade+ younger and has 1 goal in 16 games. Low bar all around.

I think it’s ok that people state what he is now, which is a really poor striker. His touch is rubbish, he’s not strong enough and he can’t finish. He’s a CBs dream. Unfortunately, the other option is exactly the same.

The money we have wasted on strikers is criminal.

I suppose you could ask is Barry better than Ellis Simms who was produced by us but we moved him on.

Seems to be one of the favourites of Davey "if the striker isn't scoring i'll make changes" Moyes.

Then again, when the only other striker on the books is Beto, I imagine it must be pretty easy to get the starting spot every week.

Straight up, how are you 6'5" and still can't beat ANYONE for a header? How is Tim Cahill at 5' 8" the epitome of heading the ball??
