2025/26 Thierno Barry

There is also a huge chance that his profile picture isn’t a dig and actually a young lad taking the mick out of himself.

It was objectively funny that camera kept cutting to close ups of him on the bench like that.
I think the silly picture of Dembele on the bench that he's now changed it to now makes it fairly clear he's just messing around ha.

We'll never really know what he means unless he addresses it. It's why all this social media stuff is stupid.

I think we've signed somebody who is quite fragile. You could see it in the Sunderland game. He wasn't having a terrible game at all, in fact a goal would have rounded off a very solid first half and then he missed and then his head just dropped and he was awful. That's a tough position to be in as a prem striker as you are not given much grace.

I worry for him, as obviously want to get behind him and succeed. But it's hard to be positive when we are struggling to see when the next shot on target will come, let alone goal.
I don't think I saw this the same way if I'm honest.

He seems to have the mentality of a 13 year old not a 23 year old. Compare him to Branthwaite who’s the same age for example.

It’s a far bigger concern to me than the lack of goals.
The more you see him the more it becomes evident he’s not a Moyes signing, people gave Moyes stick for dithering. It’s because it stops him signing players like this.

He's updated his profile photo on Instagram. Beto starts tomorrow then.

Whether this is showing of discontent with the manager, or poking fun at the fact he was on camera more after being subbed than when playing, I think this is stupid. Arrogant in a way.

He has not got any relationship with the fans yet, seemingly not the manager, and although limited chances, has shown little as a player. Could say he can do what he likes on his socials, but a bit more self-awareness is needed when you are a massively paid “celebrity” of sorts. Comes with the pay-packet.

Put the phone down lad, stop thinking about making statements after the team has been announced to the squad, whether grumpy or sarcastic, to people who just want you to be good at your job. Focus, relax, head down, work hard and you should score goals in this team.

Lad has a terrible attitude, to go with terrible ability. Not a good combination for someone expecting to be a PL footballer.

Beto is bad, but you can never accuse him of not giving 110%, Barry's been here 5 minutes and has basically publicly thrown his toys out of the pram multiple times, despite not showing anything at all on the pitch. Whatever it is that makes him think he just automatically deserves to start every game, I haven't seen it, and I'd bet Moyes hasn't either.

Reminds me of Chermiti at Rangers, stunk for them, scores one flukey goal and gives the bravado routine.

It’s in all our interest that he does well and scores goals, if he’s got one of those “haters going to hate” attitudes with such a poor return then it’s a waste of time and we should be looking at bringing someone else in instead.

Branthwaite who has been here years, we loaned him out for a while. Hes English and probably no more than a few hours drive from his family and friends. Barry who is 23, French, is miles away from anyone.

I get it. I’ve not been impressed with him at all other than the other night against Sunderland. He was trying to get involved, trying to win headers, basically made our goal with his trying, got in a good scoring position and missed but that happens to all strikers. He needs a goal, of course he does but he has to start again today and also the silly booking meant he was always getting subbed.

Can you show one example of him "publicly throwing his toys out of the pram" rather than people reading too much into a kid changing his profile pic?
