Get the schoolboys out and get winners in. Jags and Baines time to go.
Couldn't agree more, another futile rallying call from Captain Jags again in the week, sick to death of it,we'll do it for the fans,we'll do it for Seamus, let's face it you never have actually made us proud against them have you?

Answer - 11 years of David "knife to a gun fight" Moyes.
Koeman 0% win rate after 2 games.

Mentality issues. But glaring issues of game awareness and professionalism.

Why do them lot win this fixture? They've won it so often it's just another game. They go out and execute what the manager has told them to do.

It's why we struggle with finals and big games. Stop getting worked up. It's just another game. Follow your instructions, do your job. Don't panic. Play the game not the occasion.

It's why players under Mourihno perform so well in the big games. He drills them to the point where the game plan is all that there is to worry about. Follow it and you can't have too many complaints at the end of the game.

It's why it looked slightly more compact when Barry come on. Of course, when the game plan is flawed like it was today you have to rely on natural ability, but real quality is lacking.

Look at some of the most successful teams in the prem - And look at how many intelligent footballers were in their squad.

Our players have an extremely bad case of inferiority complex. Lord knows why because the RS are the pits. It partly goes back to Moyes imo and his knife to a gunfight attitude, the whole thing infected the club and has never gone away. We didn't struggle this badly in the 90's with much worse teams and with them having a much better one then they currently do. Only thing to say is we need to move all the loser player's with their cowardly mentality out asap.

Nah don't buy it. It's Liverpool's biggest game of the season, they go hell for leather v us and United and raise their game. We try to treat it like any other game and it's not. Our teams of the 90s were guilty of the reverse but they showed what happens if you get up for it.

These players are just spineless cowards no two ways about it, not one winner amongst the lot of them, they didn't even look bothered trudging off. They'll all be on instagram and twitter buzzing in a day or two. They're not arsed and are a complete disgrace.

No one at the club understands what this fixture means.

This disgusting inferiority complex and this embarassing, numbing, hurtful, demoralising record would never have got this bad if they did.

That is all.
I agree about the inferiority complex and it is indeed embarrassing. However I think it is wide of the mark to suggest 'No-one understands what this fixture means'. Far from it, I think due to the lack of silverware, the players are fully aware of what it means to the fans and thus it puts to much pressure on them to perform. Whatever the reason as you say it is embarrassing and manager after manager can't seem to address it.

Stop blaming Moyes, it's an Everton issue not a Moyes one, it's persisted pretty much under every manager except Catterick Kendall and Royle, maybe when there's someone at Everton who isn't in awe of Liverpool and understands what it means to the fans we'll go back to winning some of these.

Our fans are guilty at times aswell. We talk up average players like Gueye and previously Stones as better than they are and prematurely talk up the young players such as Davies, Pennington and previously Barkley when none of them have proved themselves on the big stage yet.

Yeah Gueye was shown up today, same as Spurs. Schneiderlin was moved out if the team in 5th and immediately became our best player. Shows the level of quality in the team. We have one very good player in Schneiderlin, a flat track bully in Lukaku, and that's it, everyone else is just ok. It's sad but it's true. We should be demanding more.

Just heard the Klopp interview then the Koeman one.

Klopp talked about them needing passion in these games and emotion but controlled.

Wish somebody would tell our players this because we roll over every derby match.

They'd be terrified to come off the pitch with a defeat if they had the right mentality. But they went through the motions for the last half hour. That shows they don't get it. It's just another game for them, a game they expect defeat and anything is a bonus. Shameful really.

People say it wasn't a lack of fight. I don't understand that. Our defending was woeful. Not entirely due to quality. That third goal- you don't play that cool and calm when the other's team is pressing AND its a derby game. Disgusting leadership from the pros today. Ross and Holgate had little turf amongst themselves in the game at some point. We simply weren't ready, not just tactically but more importantly mentally. I blame the experienced players for this. It's Jags, Williams, Barry, maybe even Baines. We missed Seamus's never say die attitude.

And Rom blurting he wants to move to a bigger club doesn't help our cause either. He was useless today also by the way. It's almost like the one bad game we have, where everything goes wrong, is against them. All the time. If they make deals with the Devil, it's about time we start making deals with the angels. This loss hurts on many aspects. It was supposed to be the dawn of a new era. It clearly isn't. It's weird how this game seems to have removed any stadium excitement i had!

If we want a role model, take a look at Atletico Madrid and what Simeone has done. It's nothing short of a miracle. They hadn't beaten Real in 14 years or something like that. How did they do it? They played with a resilient mentality, where they would fight for every ball like their life depended on it. Even though they were the worse team, they played with so much effort and believed that they could match their opponents. And more importantly, they make very little mistakes. They had a point to prove- that the times where Real out shadowed them were a thing of the past. I'm not saying Koeman should change his tactics to play like Atletico. That would be very boring. And not to mention that Liverpool haven't overshadowed us nearly as much as Real did Atletico. But we need to play every game like it's a final. Approach every game with the mentality that we will end up victorious at the end, and most of the time you will!

Whatever the case. Koeman's got a serious problem to address. Not regarding the quality of the players. Not regarding the fact that he made many tactical mistakes. The first thing he needs to address is the club's mentality. If we're going to be great again, if NSNO is every going to be lived up to Everton FC need to believe in themselves.
