2018/19 Theo Walcott

What do people think about an 'interchangeable' front 3 of Walcott, Bernard and Richarlison, where the opposition don't really know who's going to play through the middle? Walcott could work well through the middle Put DCL, Lookman or Tosun into that for other cup compositions and it's quite a good front three, no matter if there's noone powerful, if there's so much pace and trickery!

You have to use the same logic to every player regardless of age. Currently Walcott deserves his place and until someone comes along who shows he is better then Walcott remains first choice. Being black & white we have constantly got to look for better players than we have and that is a given. There is no point in replacing Walcott with potential that means we will not see the best of him for several years because that is a backward step. If a youngster is good enough on a consistent basis then no problem. Evertons problem in the past has been potential players showing good form are put in the firing line far too early and end up fading and not recovering. Everton are at a stage where we need ready made rather than possibilities.

I thought last season it looked like him and Coleman were building a good partnership, and I was amazed at his willingness to track back and defend! We now have. Aleft winger who will track back too, I want to see that more than anything, attractive, effective wing and wing back play. bernard may well be the second coming, in which case Walcott will be benched, but as it stands, it is Bernard who has something to prove, not Walcott!

Sitter aside he was really good. Glad to see him and Richarlison linking up. Think he could get at least 10 goals this season, maybe more if he stays fit.
