2017/18 Theo Walcott

OK so we shouldn't strengthen any areas of the team other than lb and cm? If he'd have gone somewhere else and had a decent second half of the season you lot would be berating the club for not bringing him in and settling for bolasie ET Al. Literally can't win sometimes. The windows not done yet either.
Sorry I didn't really mean it like that, should have mentioned the budget - if we splurged it all and left us with nothing for the left back without sales for example.

I've ridiculed Walcott amongst my English and arsenal supporting acquaintances on numerous occasions over the years.

He is an example of just how far pace can take you in the modern game. He is extremely limited technically and his final ball/footballing intelligence is utterly brutal. His pace is diminishing through age and past injuries.

Although I'm not surprised this mess we have in charge has signed yet another dud, I'm disappointed. I hope he proves me wrong. He won't though. Although on the bright side he is better than bolasie.
I wrote a post earlier which went into this. In the Arsenal team he looked like he didn't fit in because he was bought before the transition to Barca lite days. Despite what everyone likes to blindly harp on about his final ball is actually good. He can't have as many assists and goals as he did if he was as clueless as you would like everyone to believe. Before you attribute it to the team he played for, let me remind you that players like Ox played there too but his numbers were p*** poor.

This notion that Walcott is a clueless footballer is a myth! He must be the best clueless player then to put up his numbers then. As an Arsenal fan I watched him all my life and yes he didn't develop into the player he could have, he centred his game around clever runs and scoring goals.

Can you guys believe that? A player who gets two of the most important things in football (goals and assists) is ridiculed because he can't do any skills or isn't 'technically great'. If you want the latter then you could stick with Bolasie? He won't get you goals often but at least he'll do some fancy twirls or step overs. People who come up with these arguments make me laugh. Just like people who thin Ox was/is a better player than Theo. One scores goals and get assists in vital moments and the other is a headless chicken or donkey who does well on 2/3rds of the pitch but can't contribute in the final third.

I'll give you a clue which player I'm talking about. The RS got the donkey and you got the more effective player.

What did I tell you lot? Guess some people owe Theo an apology and need to learn how to think on their own rather than fall for perceptions of players.
