The fact the Democrats never really ran with this is crazy. Imo, the fact he won is all of their own doing. I didn't think she had any stand out policies and they really just resorted to assuming people wouldn't vote for him again because trump. She fell apart when off script, distanced herself from any sort of responsibility for the last 4 years and has flip-flopped on issues. This and saying he's a threat to democracy when she was installed without a primary was a bit hypocrital. She was a puppet. Not a chance shed have been selected if there was a primary. And the incessant name calling of people who didn't fall in line.

The Democrats need to have a period of self reflection about how they fumbled the ball on this.

The left needs to be careful of thinking that our moral standards apply universally. A majority of Americans proved they don't care about Trump's character or at least don't care enough for it to make a difference and that includes all the worst flavours of Christians who voted for him.

Banging the felon drum was a prime example. We might think it should be disqualifying, especially as he hasn't faced the consequences we feel he should, but voters clearly didn't. It might even have counted against the Dems. I'm not going to look too closely at the exact composition of the data but isn't it something like 19 million Americans who would count as felons and 79 million with criminal records. No room in the big tent for any of them?
