Eighteenth century France had a tool for this sort of thing.
The best they can achieve in terms of revolt is walking into the capital, smearing poo on the walls and taking selfies till they got confused what to do next and went home.

That was was for Trump.

And the reason they got in so easy was that they knew Republicans are gun tootting maniacs and they were willing to let them breach without turning it into a massacre because they knew deep down them idiots had no game plan and would run out of steam.

if it was a political and revolutionary concious left wing group that were highly organised (would never be such a thing) they wouldn't have got a chance to see the capital steps. Ironically.

I agree with him, but I’m not sure it’s any more dictatorial than crossing a sentence out of The Constitution on his first day. This will be the second massive test on the limits of his authority that SCOTUS will likely have to rule on, and it’s barely been a week. Wonder how long it will take to work it’s way up through the courts.

Donald Trump, supporter of child sex crimes.

The Daily Show had this story, there were at least 3 paedophiles and one that was shot and killed by the police after resisting arrest on a routine traffic stop. Pretty sure there was another one that was reported as being arrested on gun charges.

I mean you couldn't have predicted it...oh wait, it was extremely predictable.

TBF I am not sure it’s absolutely a sign of a dictatorship - it’s a huge thing for the US and is unconstitutional, but most of the rest of the world doesn’t have the executive without money raising powers itself (obviously in the UK they have this via the Crown and via a majority in the Commons).

If they were genuine about eliminating waste in the US budget (and it’s doubtful they are) then one place it’s found and consistently criticized by all sides is in discretionary spending, earmarks etc.

If I remember correctly he's from Bootle, . Some people’s political awareness is shocking. I’d guess he doesn’t fully grasp that Trump and the GOP are basically the Tories x10000, you could argue the democrats post Clinton are actually more aligned with the Tories, especially Cameron.
Bootle had the highest percentage of idiots in the country, in part due to proximity to the chemical industry near the docks.

I've not spoken with my son yet and, perhaps, @RAFUH could chime in but I believe this "temporary" stop to federal grants also directly affects most medical residency programs, which could seriously mess up care at loads of hospital systems.

Also, it's not just medicine. I teach a semester course for PhD students in clinical health psychology. Yesterday the 4th years were talking about their rankings for post-doc/internships.
A lot of the conversation was around which position would still be available with the current limited information. Many of these positions would be grant funded. From what they had been told training grants seemed to be safe, but not research grants. Any facility doing work in the LGBT/ gender-affirming /DEI arena is also going to be in trouble funding-wise.
