He owns around 21-23% of Tesla, compared to around 40% of SpaceX.

Tesla has a market valuation of 1.43 trillion as of today, SpaceX isn't publicly traded (which itself should be a clue!) but is probably around $350 billion right now, before the taxpayer money floods in (they are already getting some). SpaceX is also in every respect a much better led company, with clearer goals and better talent all around than Tesla is.

As has been oft said, Tesla was wildly overvalued even before Trump won (its doubled since) given the volume of sales, the competition catching up / surpassing it and the things that are about to be thrown in its way (the ending of US federal assistance, its likely high entry on the list of US companies to retaliate at for tarriffs, Musk's political interference abroad) it is likely to go down significantly. Musk will appear to lose tens / hundreds of billions when it does, even if it just went back to what it was in the first half of last year, but he'll have actually lost nothing.

Or to put it another way, Musk would not have intervened in US politics for Tesla, nor would he expect a financial benefit to Tesla from backing Trump. He almost certainly has done it for SpaceX, and is clearly going to benefit massively from it (especially if we are talking about Mars in the next four years).
I'll take the market as the better judge of value of a company(or how well respective companies are run) than a poster on here. You have zero knowledge of the respective talents of those at Tesla or SpaceX. Tesla will likely make Musk a trillionaire not SpaceX.

Musk isn't making any money in his lifetime by reaching Mars. It's a very expensive business to build a colony on Mars. That's largely why SpaceX is still a private company. He will get greater subsidies for SpaceX in the next fours years but it's still a loss maker for them to reach Mars.

Well the right and blatant stupidity have won.

Here next.

Probably not Farage, it will probably be someone even worse than that rat.
I agree that it's coming here (already has, really), but i don't think it'll ever get as bad as America.

Yanks have a weird fetish about their presidents. Kinda like the flag waving dolts who love the royal family here.

When it comes to how we view our politicians, the majority of normal people treat them with suspicion through to outright disdain. That should be enough to stop a turd like farage from ever becoming anything more than an inconvenience.

That said, we should all be vigilant and do our bit to keep them sucking trump's teat on the other side of the pond.

Have you seen the Maitlis vid from the awards thing where farage at the 7th time of trying got the new comer of the year award and they played the trump music for his walk up to accept?

It's linked on here somewhere. Chilling.

At some point this year or next Trump will invade Mexico as a distraction for not being able to get food prices/gas prices down and voter dissatisfaction up.
He’s already underwater on his approval rating and he hasn’t even been back on the job for a day. Maybe shouldn’t have immediately distanced himself from every single one of the promises he made to the working class folks who supported him. Of course, even that supposes he cares about those people in any way whatsoever, which he doesn’t. He won’t ever be running for office again. They’re useless to him now.
