Thank you. So I'd like to add a point which would be regarding before/after transitioning. I'll state a very firm go to the bathroom of your born gender if you've not fully transitioned (I.e you're a bloke that likes wearing dresses and make up but has a cock and balls = men's bathroom). If you've transitioned, go to your new gender's bathroom (I.e you're that bloke but you've now had your cock and balls removed =women's bathroom).
There should be absolutely no "But I want people to refer to me as a female even though I've got male genetalia so I insist on being allowed to use the female bathroom and I'm going to sue you if you prevent that from happening." No, if you want to be a woman then become a woman, then you may use the female bathroom like all other women.
Also thank you for your transitioning point part - helped me better structure my point above.
A political party based on common sense? Shouldn't really be controversial should it!
So this is good, as you’ve moved from the rigid position you said you’d never concede on. (Not a gotcha, think it’s actually to your credit).
The above description is probably a reasonable middle ground.
But just to really confuse things, Buck Angel would still fall outside your scope. I’ve seen him discuss some of this in debates, and he’s not fully transitioned, hasn’t had operations, just hormone stuff.
So think as a general rule, your proposal above would work for 99.9%, but if you were to rigidly enforce it, you’d still be sending Buck Angel into the female bathroom.
I don’t have a strong view on this one way or another. Think it’s a complete non-issue.
To me, it just seems that imposing hard and fast rules, leads to unwanted outcomes, from the point of view of those imposing those rules.
