The West Ham Thread

Who knew?

Signing players from relegated sides, and signing cast offs from the big clubs would end poorly?

Fernandes, Walker Peters & Hermansen cost them £58m. One cant even get a game.
Todibo cost them £33m, he looks absolutely toilet (Gomes, Walcott, Mina vibes).

An ageing team, Soucek, Areola... its a recipe for trouble.

Ironically, when they go down, id be making them an offer for that Diouf, as for me hes a belting footballer and fills our Left Back hole. £8m on Aznou for £11m more we could have had him.

They are a bin fire, run by morons. Signing 2 starting fullbacks who would both be at the AFCON at the same time and then bringing random strikers in first thing in January when you’re starting Centrebacks are Todibo and Mavrapanos with a £40m alehouse plopper, Max Kilman, watching on from the bench.

A harder watch than their owners “films”.

Thing is they don’t own the stadium which they rent and other than the players have no real assets.

If they go down and sell players at a loss they will be in PSR trouble so next season will be even harder for them
Not quite, psr in the PL is different to the football league. A loophole leicester utilized whilst pleading for justice on their terms.

Mina was quality and kept us up in the run in in the 22/23 season. The fact he could hardly get on the pitch is what made him a bad signing, not his quality.

So £30m for a player who Barca deemed after 6 months was not good enough? Might have had a good season, but the reality is, Mina was largely a flop, even Gomes was alright whilst on loan. The same issue West Ham are having with Todibo, might sound hyper critical on my behalf, but if they're not good enough for the big clubs, why are we taking them?

But signing big wage players based off their clubs, is never a wise approach is it?

That’s a pretty ridiculous way of thinking. Ndaiye was deemed not good enough by Marseille after only a season. I guess we shouldn’t have bothered with him.

Mina was very good for the most part whenever he was on the pitch. His issue was being fit enough to be on it.
