The West Ham Thread

One of the few big clubs in the PL I don’t really like.

I think the prem is better for having Leeds, Villa, Newcastle, Forest, Leicester, Sunderland in it. Even now I’d prefer Boro and Coventry to come up rather than another Luton type. I prefer Everton fixtures v these teams rather than Blackpool Huddersfield Wigan Burnley Norwich etc.

West Ham though I couldn’t care less about, seem to have some weird invented rivalry with us for no reason.

Dont have any ill feelings toward West Ham. They are in a scary position. Just thankful their fans didnt want Moyes any more.
Will never understand them wanting to get rid of Moyes not once, but twice. When to me he did a great job both times. Saying they wanted to play better football over results was silly. When its results that count. you dont get to many go together (play nice football and win)

He spent £300mil+ and 2nd half of his last season they massively nosedived.

His time was up there.

He got them higher up than he has been for a long time and won them trophys. They wanted him gone for better football and fans hating him. I think its fair to say its backkfired on them myself

If he'd invested well in their squad then they would have had assets to sell rather than an ageing side.

He didnt want to sign an extension (rumour has it that it was a lower wage and no control of transfers) due to their shocking form for half a season and the mistake they made was the next manager.

He should have gone but they made a mistake backing him so much & then with the next manager.

The extension was pulled from him in the Jan, he said it himself in an inteview on Youtube as he waited for a bit, for a better deal and not sign right away after what he had done. But anyway its West Ham
