The walking / hiking thread

Had a walk up North Third reservoir in the Touch hills between Stirling and the Carron Valley.
I'd often driven past and admired the cliffs at the far side of the reservoir, this time I actually walked along the top of them and took these photos.
It was about a 4 mile circular.

Walked another few miles of the coastal path today…. I’d never been here before which was a nice little find along the way.View attachment 294057View attachment 294057View attachment 294057View attachment 294057View attachment 294058

Over about 18 months, we did the full Anglesey coastal path, walking about 4-5 miles each time.
It was fantastic to see how different the island’s coast can be.

I’ve cycled Prestatyn to Rhos a couple of times, plenty of caravans to look at!
One section I walked, just after penmaenmawr I think it was, I desperately needed to find a loo… I mean seriously needed to go badly…. Near one of the caravan parks there was a public loo but it had been condemned…. The door had been forced open though so I took a chance… I really really had no option by then…. Oh my lord….i thought I’d walked into the toilet off trainspotting … it was rank and there were discarded needles all over the floor …. I unashamedly avoided using the toilet and found a peaceful corner which I made one with. Honestly I would never have usually set foot inside that place for fear of dysentery.. but that day the gods of upset bowels forced me to confront my fears …. But oh my lord… it was rank… I was literally heaving …. Never again…. I always carry an emergency carrier bag and wet wipes now 😂😂😂😂

If you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go!
