I'm not a hipster but this is the only thing I hate about what McGregor's done for the sport. This was the top comment on a Facebook article about McGregor vs Duffy.

Aye, why does he not fight for the UFC? Not like he fought at UFC 195 on the weekend just gone or anything.

I just hate people like this clown giving what they think is a thought out expert opinion when they clearly know nothing.

I know what you mean, you get this with all sports though and people have to start somewhere. Someone in work was saying how funny it was that someone they knew had traveled to Vegas to watch a 13 second fight! Er Rockhold vs Wiedman anyone?

I think one of the things with boxing is that if you're just casual fan then you only tend to care about the big main events, and these people seem to bring the same mindset to MMA. The UFC had their struggles but most of the cards lately have been fairly stacked.

OFFICIAL FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: Conor McGregor Vs Rafael Dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight World Championship. March 5th. MGM Grand, Las Vegas. LIVE ON PPV. This McGregor Inc. executive business decision is brought to you by the King himself in association with EA Sports. 'McGregor is the Game.' Mr. McGregor would like to thank the fans and the media for their patience in this decision. Mr. McGregor was still busy counting the take from his last fight. He has chosen to dedicate this demolition job to the loyal people of Brazil and all the fans around the globe who stay true to their roots and loyal to their land. Mr. McGregor has said that Rafael is a traitor to his people and vows to "behead the 'American Gringo' Rafael Dos Anjos, in the name of La Brasilia!" Viva la Brasil! See you all in Las Vegas, March 5th!!! The King returns!

I hope the ufc rejects bj penns wanting to fight on this card. The blokes a legend of the game but his effort against frankie was a joke and times passed by.

I'm not sure. He's my favourite fighter of all time and it was sad to see him go downhill so fast, but it could be a different story under Greg Jackson.

Dont get me wrong id love to see a fully fit and dedicated bj penn back in the octogon, hopefully we dont just get one thats going thru the motions for $$ jacksons is definatly a good place to get his head back in the game

Must say im looking foward to humt vs mir later this year aswell hoping hunt goes back to aka thailand, looked like he was in good nick last fight and dont know why but i can see mia being silly enough to try and stand and trade with him

I used to love watching BJ Penn but the Rory and Diaz fights showed how he's past his best. Granted they were at WW, but a prime BJ Penn was a fight for any fighter

A prime BJ Penn on form is still the best lightweight of all time for me.

If he comes back anywhere near the level he's been capable of in the past he'll beat Lentz comfortably.

Sadly I fear the worst.

Would have loved to have seen him on TRT, knocked back years on the clock for Belfort and Henderson....

But that ships sailed now. Cant see him making any prominent return... But would love to have seen him fight Jens Pulver again in a rubber match... After nearly a decade since their TUF series.

Fight night on manday is a interestimg card. Fair fue tricky match ups dont know why but looking foward to boetsch vs herman and meathead vs browne... also pearsons fights are usually good scraps not to mention pettis back in the cage. Main even doesnt interest me much but should be a decent scrap
