Yeah mate, gotta get up for college at 7 like.

Who you thinking? I reckon Browne, Alvarez and Dom

Alvarez? It'd take Pettis to be far below par for that to happen in my opinion. Think Browne will do it as well, and Dillashaw Cruz is too hard to call.

It's tough to tell how much better the division's got since Cruz got injured. Aside from beating Barao twice, which is massively impressive of course, Dillashaw has done nothing of note but lose to Assuncao. Cruz has beaten the best around but most of them were flyweights. Really is impossible to call I reckon.

If Cruz performs like he did against DJ/Mizugaki and Dillashaw performs like he did against Barao we're in for one of highest quality UFC fights ever.

Yeah, Pettis has all the talent but it seems every time he gets pressured against the cage he crumbles. Guida, RDA.

I think skillswise they're about on par, but I think Cruz's fight IQ is streets ahead of TJ's, likewise TJ's a lot more powerful.

Think Dom's gameplan will be the difference.

Aye, I just don't think Alvarez is in the same league skill-wise. I can see Alvarez pressuring Pettis in to a sub-standard performance as you say, so it wouldn't really surprise me too much.

Tough to say that - Ludwig is obviously a nutcase but it seems like he puts together a great game plan and Dillashaw's looked amazing in his last three. Look at his footwork in the Barao fights. Just depends on how Cruz's injuries have effected him, whether he's been improving during his lay off, whether he's ring rusty and whether Dillashaw has evolved past Cruz. And whether Barao was finished - because let's be honest, he's the only one of Dillashaw's opponents that would arguably have beaten Cruz.

I hope Cruz does it, though. He's a bit of a nugget sometimes but Dillashaw is thoroughly unlikeable, and Ludwig is even worse.

Could see that, and while Alvarez knows that pressure is his weakness, Pettis has had nearly a year to work on it so hope he has.

Yeah but seems that TJ's/Ludwig style would be ideal for Barao who just sort of came forward in a straight line, easy to say in retrospect tho.

Don't really like either of their personalities tbf but after all of Cruz's injuries he deserves it before his ligaments go again

Be great if Faber could beat the winner. Highly unlikely of course, but I'd love it.

By the way, just googled Dillashaw vs Soto to see when it was. UFC 177 - look it up. Worst card ever?

Yeah there's no way but whoever wins there's a story there so the UFC will stick it on UFC 200.

Wow, that is a joke. Bar Ferguson, all of the other fights would make a poor set of prelims. Imagine paying 30 odd quid for that like they'd have to in America lol

Mad isn't it. Wouldn't even bother watching it for free unless it was on record and I could fast forward, even Dillashaw Soto was a joke. To be fair Cejudo and Barao pulled out short-notice.

Sure they're hoping to attract more fans with a great fight between two fighters who aren't exactly huge draws for the casual fanbase, but I think this could easily be a PPV.

Yeah but still would have been wank, just not as wank.

Tonight could defo be PPV, when you compare it to say 186 a few months back it's miles better

True.

Christ, that is bad. Compare that to 189 and it's ridiculous. It's like they purposely throw cards to spend on the big ones.

Be interesting to see how Barao does at featherweight considering McGregor will probably be permanently at lightweight by the time Barao could earn a title shot.

Defo.

Notice they always stick the biggest draws on consecutive cards as well to build up hype around them bursts, clever really.

Yeah I'm excited about him there as well, some great fights for him as well. I'd give him Oliveira for his first fight there. Only thing is I can't see him being a massive success because he's essentially an Lidl version of Aldo

Mad that. What on Earth was Saunders doing?

Refs well on top of the stoppages tonight.

Love Patrick Cote. He's improving so much at about 90 years old.
