I was on the internet the other day and heard the same. If I remember the thoughtwork behind the conclusion didn't seem very solid, but who knows.. it is a huge company. Indians would be better for puns so they get my vote and I'm pretty sure all the Americans here would start acting even more strange if Everton was (owned by an) American.
