Thanks mate, depending on how bad my hangover is post-match I may well post to share my reaction!

The Qataris have definitely got the money, make no mistake about that. They're just looking for the "best deal", as any business does. They don't see much difference between Blackburn and Everton, so if one price is significantly lower than the other they'll go with that.

My gut feeling is that they will buy Everton, however they won't stand for much negotiation. They're fast moving and want a sale *now*. If a club messes them about or says "not for sale" then they move on. I find such practices, especially in the football world, utterly bizarre... but they've got enough money to negotiate that way.

I've been told they've also put the feelers out towards Wigan... but are reluctant to purchase them and it really would be a "last choice". As much as Dave Whelan has spoken out against foreign ownership, he's more concerned about who will buy Wigan once he goes. If the Qataris do decide to make an offer there's a good chance he'll accept it.

Thanks for posting man. We've lost a few people ITK here so it's great to have someone from a blackburn perspective with some fresh info. I hope your gut feeling is right and best of luck finding a new owner. Just not the Qataris! (y)

Listen , Im gonna say this ... I KNOW who they are ...

They ARE Legitimate , but whats the good in revealing it now ??? Its TOO EARLY !!!

For those Anti-BK Bores who just blame him for EVERYTHING , they just want bullets ...

The opposite Camp want the opposite bullets , but SURELY TO Jesus , ALL Evertonians want the BEST , The OPTIMUM Party - if you will , to win the day ??? Speculation , an' the inevitable Internet Rippin' , LIES & PLAIN Jangle will ensue if not ...

Seriously , its early days an' THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE .. Lets GET IT RIGHT , an' argue later , eh ???

LCAB - can you confirm you're taking over GOT - and how much money you're going to be putting in?

NOT

Welcome BACK!

No problem. Venky's aren't selling so it won't be us, but if it had to be somebody else I wouldn't mind it being Everton at all.

IT'S ON!!!! EVERTON ARE GO!!!

Please let us be taken over soon this current situation is doing my head in plus it would be christmas come early for me if we did and we got more money than liverpool did :D

i cant hide my excitment that this may actually happen with the arabs- strange tho that LCAB said there was 'serious interest' but wasnt sure if it was the arabs or not. if thses arabs are interested- surely they would be the best we could hope for.

Couple of quick thoughts on this:

- Why would we need a new stadium and not Blackburn? If they are trying to create a superclub then Ewood Park isnt exactly up to scratch either?

- Since UEFA Fair Play rules will make it harder to buy players willy nilly but allow for investment in "infrastructure", surely Everton is attractive to them as they could invest 300m into an amazing stadium and boost turnover which in turn would allow us to invest in more fees/wages.

- Why arent they going for the obvious one, which is Newcastle? Or even Villa? Neither need a stadium rebuild.....

The money needed to buy either of these clubs is far more than the Qataris are willing to spend at initial purchase. They think there are better deals out there - Rovers and Everton being two such clubs. The type of money offered to Venky's would have left them with a tidy profit from their ill-advised Rovers catastrophe, but it still seems we are not for sale.

As for Everton, I've been told the board aren't keen on negotiating a price and will give the Qataris a 'take it or leave it' ultimatum in regards to purchase price. This could be a tactic to get the best possible deal for the club, but these buyers are not known for their patience and won't hang around.

Which is the biggest single reason the Qataris will soon be looking elsewhere . Yet again Kenwright will make a mess of another massive opportunity .
