I know everyone has said something along the lines of "I don't want us to be a Man City, but.....", lets face it, if we had bags of cash we'd be made up.

I really would just settle for now for being the best team in the city, that would be a start.

Sorry mate, but I really don't want to become a second Man City. Have always maintained that stance throughout the years. The game of football I love, would lose a lot of excitement for me. If it happens it happens though, I'll always be an Evertonian

Itd be awesome if this happens.

But surely if they own PSG they cant own another club, even in another country.

It would be just our luck that they buy us, splash the cash then we get penalised cos they broke ownership rules!

I agree Dutch, but sadly football is run by money now. We need that level of cash to compete until the Premier League bubble bursts.

I think the difference is, if we got Man City level of cash, we wouldn't turn into smug bellends who spaff off doing the Poznan, we wouldn't turn into zany creatures overnight.

A leading football power broker has been working on the deal in recent weeks, but it is proving a tough nut to crack because the numbers do not appeal to the Arabs.

Just go Kenwright you complete and utter belter.

FFS. I bet we get taken over by Jain who will end up having a bit if money, and it will emerge that the current board KBd a Mega rich sheik for no good reason.

Go and read the club histrory mate. In 1960 we became the Man City/Chelsea of the day when John Moores turned up and bankrolled the club to success.

I hope you're right in that mate. Hope that if anything comes off, there will also be major investment in the youth department. Would love to become like the Ajax of old, Barca or Arsenal. Bring the majority of our first team frame through the academy and go all out to buy those final pieces of the jigsaw.

How was the Gulshan btw?

Somethings gotta to happen soon. cant take much more of this....

Don't worry Sharpy, Bill's still looking for the right buyer, and we know what right means:

There is a budget set aside to buy a club, but it has to be right. They want to spend most of the money on players to reach the Champions League.

Although *money is no object, they will not be ripped off.

Everton are up for sale at the right price, with interest *being shown by the Indian-based Jain Group, but the valuation is putting off Al-Thani.

A leading football power broker has been working on the deal in recent weeks, but it is proving a tough nut to crack *because the *numbers do not appeal to the Arabs.

Bill Kenwright is looking for around £120m for Everton, although that price is negotiable. The Toffees are carrying debts and there will be a massive bill if the buyer wants to build a new ground.

I know our history mate and I know whe were reknowned as moneybags in these days. Still a far cry from todays madness. Buy £100m. of player talent and if that doesn't work out, stick them on the bench or in the stands and just invest another £100m. Can't help it, but it's just wrong in my eyes.

I think the acid test is what success was bought rather than how many players a club can amass. Everton won nothing after 1939 until Moores money bankrolled two titles, a cup win and another final appearance...and it'd have been much more if the choice of manager had been right after Catterick left.

I just think we need to stop seeing Everton as this purist 'jumpers for goalposts' club that do it the hard way. We never have if truth be known.

Let's face, someone with that money could go for Wigan...and turn them into Man City... it seems you can do anything with money. If this is even a hint of truth in this we should hope Kenwrong makes the Kenwright decision asap before we get stuck in the bottom three, get relegated and become as wanted as a chocolate teapot
