Lallana on his move to the [Poor language removed]: " it is a dream come true".... A true evertonian that...

Just noticed that Schwarzer has signed a 1 year contract extension at Chelsea.

Is that an indication that Courtois will be staying another year at Atleti?

You know what, do one Lallana. You have committed an atrocity and I really have lost all respect for you.

Tadic fee agreed by Southampton. Great replacement for Lallana if you believe certain people off here. No doubt it'll be for about 17m less than they sold Lallana for too. English players' prices are lol.

R.E.: Tadic.

I always thought G Ramierez, was a boss player - never took of for him there. They spent big on him as well.

Sometimes these "flair players" dont take of at midtable teams.

*Sits smugly in 5th.

a lot of people were banging the drum about chadli on here similar to tadic and you said he wouldn't be great and he wasn't.

same with the holtby hype on here as well, let's hope tadic goes the same way, surely he'd have better suitors than soton, especially for that type of fee.

When you look at it the sides that do mid-table well are the ones who stick to a "functional type". Look at Palace last year they started with some Holloway "flair" and ended up playing the lads who had been there for Beards and they progressed, Hull are another good example. Then you look at sides that went with flair: Zaha at Cardiff, Fulham and their gambit of mercinaries, Norwich and Van Wolfie etc, WBA with Sessegnon - they all struggled. Argueabley they had a beter quality of "flair player" then the ones who stayed up in midtable - Crystal Palace, Hull, WHU, Stoke.

There is a case to be made for structure and funciton over flair at midtable. Not that its good to watch or praticularly exciting, just mention it as sometimes these "Rameriz/Tadic" type signgings dont work out as effectively as they read on the back pages.

Newcastle just bought Ajax captain Siem De Jong for £6m - looks a good player when I've seen him in the champions league

Is it only the Perreria crew that fancy this tadic then? Never actually seen him play.
