What a stroke of bad luck that was lol
We got to the outskirts of Sheffield Khal then the police held the coaches up for whatever reason so missed everything, luckily the coach driver managed to get the highlights on on the way home,we passed the players coach and they were all trying to geg in because they didnt have the game on in their coach lol

Remember the saga with Wednesday in the Cup in 1988?

Was it five games it went to before we finally settled it, 5-0 up at half time at Hillsborough and no further scoring ;)

I was living in London at the time and went to all of them. That was the days when you could travel through the night on good old British Rail. The 5-0, I think we only had 5 attempts on goal and scored every one.

Such a sad state affairs that Sheffield and Leeds haven;t been in the PL for so long.

The league would be so much better having those historic footballing cities being in the PL.

All 3 have just been run awful at board level for the last 20 years.

Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United i'd love to see back in the top flight. As for Leeds, they can go do one.Hopefully they will be plying their trade, in the non league sooner rather than later.lol

I think you forget just how bad Leeds fans are. They were like Newcastle fans on steroids.

There's a reason quite literally everyone in the country celebrated when they went down.

Wednesday are the kopites of Sheffield. Up the blades

Mate Wednesday were the first club in Sheffield.I don't mind the blades either, but yeah the owls all the way for me.Wednesday to be fair are a bigger club than United. At least the Owls have a major trophy win to their name, captured on coloured tv.lol

Sheffield is a true footballing city. Leeds is not. I see your point though about wanting them back in the prem. Both have loyal support, especially away from home.

Wednesday, because:
1. Kevin Pressman.
2. Mark Bright.
3. There's something oddly charming about Hillsborough.
4. They were the first non-Everton match I went to, versus Chelsea.
5. I had a stepfamily who supported them.
6. I like owls.

I wish they'd hurry up and get their arses back in the Premiership.
