Definitely Wednesday. Naturally blue is better than red! But seriously, I've more links to that side of the city, anyone I've known from there has been a Wednesday fan, one of my favourite music groups from Sheffield are Wednesday fans. Also, they are older than we are (and older than Utd) and I prefer their ground, mascot, history, etc.

Their rivalry with the Blades would appear much more fractious than ours with the red zombies.

Its a more of a definite geographical split, like in Bristol (Rovers for me, by the way), between areas/sides of the city.

I know its said that we have more fans from the city but there are blues and reds interspersed within families and friends all around Liverpool and its surrounds (and further), and generally people just get on with it, be it friendly or tougher banter.

That's not to say it doesn't happen in Sheffield but its probably not as widespread.

Michael Palin was a strange one. He has stated that he is a Utd supporter but will support Wednesday in big matches. Something about supporting the city of Sheffield first and foremost. I can kind of get where he is coming from but in football I don't know how other Wednesday or Utd fans would see that. I would certainly never support the red zombies from across the park in any shape or form!

I set a 7 day limit for the poll. But i think i can declare the Owls the winners here.I'd happily swap the no mark clubs like Liverpool, Swansea, Bournemeouth, and Brighton, for Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, to be back in the top flight. What about Leeds i hear you say.Leeds can go and rot for all i care. The championship is too good for them.lol

Every year I develop a soft spot for a club in a relegation fight and try to catch a bunch of their matches (PLOT TWIST: this year its Everton!). One year that was Sheff Utd. Their 1-0 win against arsenal was awesome (the day Jags played goal) so I had become a fan of them.

Only ever saw Wednesday a couple times in my life (i even thought they were purple and white and not blue and white) so don't really have anything for or against them.

Yep. And the chip butty song is frankly magnificent. Hope they come up some day.

At least they don't have those terrible towels and show up by the thousands at everybody else's home match like some other steel-based football supporters.

Indeed.Too bad though that the last time, the Blades won anything of note, was back in 1925.lol
