The Spurs situation and Everton

Everton need to take note that this is happening for Spurs.

Do we think that new stadium of ours and its environs would be conducive to generating the type of communal response to save the club's bacon again?

A soul-less anodyne environment like that? A stadium with zero reference apart from badges 50 foot off the ground on the corners of the east and west stands to the team that play in it? A stadium claimed by rugby league and union?

Mate the stadium is far from soulless. We had to move and we have a great stadium with a great atmosphere. We also needed to increase our revenue and taking it in from other sources no-brainer. I disagree with your ‘claimed’ remark also. This has absolutely no bestie impact on the club and brings money in.

Nope

New stadium or not walking out on mass at HT is pretty poor and something we would NOT do as a fan base.

The lesson from spurs is that when go go through as many managers as they have that creates instability and apathy.

Forest are the same and both squads were better than ours it’s the no consistency with the managerial appointments so that’s in the owners.

And there are the similarities with them and Moshiri sacking managers willy-nilly. Panicking seldom pays off.

Poorly run.
CL money means you shouldn't be in their position.
It's easy to blame the stadium and crowd.
Players look like they aren't interested.

That’s what I see. Their heads have dropped. Whereas one thing you ca say about all the tough times we’ve had, the players and fans were certainly not mentally defeated. We had gumption in bucketloads. I do not see that from Spurs. At all. Anywhere.

Looking at their players at FT last night, they may not be in the bottom three just yet but they already look like they’re resigned to the drop. That never bodes well.

I think our fan base, is still very much a local, working-class bunch. Despite 47 years of Thatcherism trying to destroy any sense of community and society, Everton still brings us together. Something to unite around and feel a sense of belonging.
I get the feeling many Spurs fans are quite middle class and have never had that same struggle and it's reflected in the way they follow their team.

Spurs fans and players believe that the club is one of the best clubs in the PL and belongs in the CL.

Their mentality is awful, but as Chiellini said, It is the history of the Tottenham.

They're too proud to play or believe they have to play in a certain way to dig deep and get results when they need to but they're just not good enough to play or be at the level they think they are in this league.

When that psyche infects a club it's hard to get away from.
Yeah you look at the squad and I don't see a Modřic, Bale etc that spurs fans seem to be seeing/ expecting...

They're not a top team but have some ok players. But they're directionless, that's the problem.

Look at some of the utter rubbish that lived in our squads longer than managers... Wrong balance.

Be nice to poach their better players for once....

Richy as a forward option is a no brainer for the right money...

Dreamland but imagine having vdv obrien and branthwaite (senesi too if theres any truth in it) as our centre back options

Spurs are seemingly spiralling out of control and the “cheese room” is more Dairylea than Neals Yard.

What can Everton learn from this?

Is the situation caused by over expansion or a focus on Europe? Has the constant Managerial changes made the club unstable?

Should we sign Richarlison? Anyone else?

Have they focused too much on corporate activity and the stadium?
They finished in the bottom 5 last season and won the UEFA Cup to qualify for the CL. This in itself shows how competitive the premier league has become. The expansive football works in Europe but not in the PL so teams are continuing to pick them apart. This is what they haven't learnt. They need to bin their Dare is to do motto and introduce a bit of Backs to the wall.

No Richarlison needs to be forgotten. Can see him at Fulham.

I wondered if letting Son go was wise. He is a top player and Kuluvesky not too far behind him. With neither playing, not surprising they've been nowhere near previous levels of performance.

Been very unlucky with injuries in general.

Shows how piss poor the Champs league is too as they finished well in that.

New motto could be " Tudor is to die" 🤔

Players they brought in came for Champions league football not relegation fights. And doesnt it show. They look like players who know they wont be staying if they drop.
Any club who pays connor gallagher 200 grand a week probably deserve to get relegated as well. Lunacy.

Their fans are a disgrace. Their manager is clueless. The players have given up. Only other teams around them losing games can save them.

1. WHU are scrapping and playing pretty decent football

2. Leeds are scrappers

3. Forest are scrappers even though their manager is worse than Tudor

Doesn’t look good for Spurs at this time - The Forest v Spurs game on March 22 is massive
