...he did come over well. I suspect Lee asked for his background not to be raised which is a bit of a shame but understandable I suppose.

Thought he was quite good on the Everton show. As fans sometimes we don't understand that these guys are professionals and don't have the luxury of letting previous loyalties effect how and where they work. It seems to me that Lee is loyal to who ever he is working for. He just loves the game and loves coaching. Plenty of guys grew up supporting one club and playing for the other. Hell most of their best players in the 80s and 90s were blues.

If he hadn't proved his worth to some Evertonians, today should do it.
His reactions throughout the game, signalled to me, that he loved every minute of today. He may be a red personally, but he showed today that he is a blue in his job and he was great. I can't say I was a huge fan of Allardyce before the appointment, or of Lee, but you get behind them, and they were both doing wonders today.
