He’s had a tough job to be fair to him. The style of play which won us the league wasn’t sustainable. Ranieri and Shakespeare both lost their jobs trying to persist with it. Puel has tried to transition our play but it’s hard asking players like Simpson and Morgan etc to play it out and keep the ball. Now with his own players in you can see what he’s trying to do. I’m positive about the future under Puel but it won’t be without a few hiccups

Shades of Martinez !

Think of Jose does go, he will have a nice cushy job lined up as Portugese national manager.......doddle innit?? Lol
The current Portugese coach just recently signed a new contract. They were talking about this on the radio last night and saying there are not too many jobs about at the moment where he could go. He would probably want the national team job but by all accounts his chances of getting it are pretty slim.

Regardless of what jobs are open now, how many clubs are left that would offer their manager job to Jose, and he would accept it? I really can’t think of very many.

I never understand why Southampton got rid of him.

I seem to remember they were 18th when he took over last season and they finished 9th. If that's right he did a better job than 'Fireman Sam' and by trying to play attractive football. Only reason to sack him would be if the owners expect their managers to somehow repeat the Ranieri miracle.

Hope it's Hughes, can't stand the pillock.

Don't think Jose's far from going postal though, and think it'll be him. Whether he's sacked or walks though I don't know.

Apart from his own ego, his failure to adapt the way he sets the team up / plays footy and his own stubbornness could ultimately prove to be his undoing again > Chelsea.

Silva's assistant???? lollollollol:cool:;)

I wish I could change my vote to Hughes.

Hughes won’t see Christmas or the dugout of a Premier League team again once he’s gone. Awful manager. There is a group of them that we were familiar with, Pardew, Moyes, Warnock, Hodgson, Hughes, Strachan, that thing we saw last year, McLaren, Curbishley. Either already done & unemployable in the modern game or in their last role at the highest level.

Out of touch with the modern game and inspiring this generation of self employed millionaires who also happen to be Premier League footballers. The game has changed, quicker, more movement and less contact - less throw it in the mixer and look for flick ons, your first foul is a free one, let him know you are there - if there is a place for all that, it’s not the way of any team expecting to do well on a consistent basis!
