If Untied pull the plug on Jose, the fallout could be highly entertaining. No doubt they would try and make him keeping his mouth shut part of a severance settlement, but Jose is a law unto himself and he could go into a full-on meltdown.

Seems to media fabricated rubbish to be honest. I know you can never be sure and that owners can be fickle but they seem to be happy with the job he’s doing. It’s not so much the results keeping him in the job but the fact he is trying to evolve us into a more possession based team. He’s always giving chances to young English players which is refreshing to see.

I’d give him this season at the very least and see where we are. Can’t see us being in a relegation scrap so he should get that too
From what I`ve seen the footy you`re playing looks good.

Fast, free flowing and good to watch ?

Jose at Utd has an excellent win ratio. In fact he has the highest win ratio of any Utd manager in its history. They have had Moyes, Van Gaal and Jose since SAF retired, more importantly they’ve had the same useless CEO, Woodward, at the same time. If I were Jose I’d request a meeting with the owners and point the finger directly at him.......

I thought you were the best team at Utd in the first half, decent football, Leicester should do well this year.....

Not disputing his win ratio Pete, but I've never felt Jose has been 100% accepted at Untied, by the fans or the hierarchy.
Another couple of poor performances and the pressure on him will definitely increase.
Replacing him would be another issue too, so early in the season.

I voted that he would be next, but he’s likely to be the best they will ever get.....

I’m sure I read or heard somewhere he’s been living in a hotel in Salford since he started managing them?
Must be hard for a fan base to connect with a manager who is openly setting himself up for the short-term.

It may be common place in football circles these days, but it just seems strange.

Yeah I thought we were, lacked the cutting edge and clinical finishing. Whereas against Wolves we were poor in spells but scored two goals and killed them off

Is right that. Think he has kids in school in London though, and didnt want them moved. Sommet like that anyrate.

edit. Wrong. Must like hotels.

It can be turgid at times but barring 2 or 3 teams in this league I think all fans would say the same. When we’re on it it’s lovely to watch

The problem of perception.

Everyone else watches the odd live game on telly and highlights on Match of the Day, doesn`t see the " real " footy being played and then forms the opinion that the footy is good, based on the bits they`ve watched.

Think of Jose does go, he will have a nice cushy job lined up as Portugese national manager.......doddle innit?? Lol

Which is fair enough. But the money he’s on, he could afford to rent a half decent gaff like. City centre penthouse or a big house in Cheshire.

Hotel to me just screams “I’m happy to do one at any minute”

‘Kin Alan Partridge wannabe.

He’s had a tough job to be fair to him. The style of play which won us the league wasn’t sustainable. Ranieri and Shakespeare both lost their jobs trying to persist with it. Puel has tried to transition our play but it’s hard asking players like Simpson and Morgan etc to play it out and keep the ball. Now with his own players in you can see what he’s trying to do. I’m positive about the future under Puel but it won’t be without a few hiccups
