...remember when two blokes with arms like Popeye carried a huge advertising board around the pitch at half-time as the latest scores from the other games were put up on the A to Z index against the Bullens Road wall.

We all called him Joe (dont know that was his actual name or what) and sometimes chanted his name in time to his steps as he and his mate on the other end, passed by The Gwladys - Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe.
They used to come round at 2.50 and at half time with the next weeks wrestling bill at the stadium
